Testimonials
“Gladiola is exceedingly loving and patient. She has treated my children as if they were her own and I am constantly impressed by her creativity and stamina. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for my family and couldn’t recommend her more highly. ”
“Choosing Gladiola was one of the best decisions I’ve made. She treats people with genuine empathy and handles difficult and unpredictable situations with real grace. As a loving caregiver for the developmentally challenged, she made Martha feel like family. Gladiola is delightfully charming and seriously dedicated. You will not be disappointed.”
“Gladiola was a lifesaver to me when my three children were young. She cared for them from infancy to tweens. She was reliable, fun, engaging, and intelligent. She continually inspired and stimulated the children. Because of her diverse background she opened them up to new cultures and ideas. She was was warm and sensible, everything you would want your children’s’ caretaker to be. She will always be considered a very memorable and important part of our family.”

ABOUT ME
MY NAME IS Gladiola
Having lived in three countries, I've experienced first-hand what it means to see the world through fresh eyes. I have learned how to communicate with others who speak differently, to appreciate others who act differently, and to love others who think differently. I know the importance of being part of a community, and of making others feel welcome, feel appreciated, and feel heard. Though I speak four languages, as a mother of two I am always seeking new and creative ways of expressing my thoughts so that I can be understood. And I am always learning as much from the children I care for as they learn from me.
What I believe...
Happiness and self-esteem will come to our children by learning how to appreciate what they have, by the virtue of the good deeds they do, and by the love that they feel at home, from their community, and here at The Bouncy Bean. As parents, in our quest to foster happy and confident children, we often place a heavy moral burden on our kids. I believe a better goal is to focus on creating an environment that inspires gratitude and encourages growth through stimulation. If we create the fertile grounds that cultivate love, reward curiosity, and instill appreciation, then happiness and self-esteem will take care of themselves.
That is what The Bouncy Bean is all about.
